Here are a few health issues that can be properly addressed if you started to feed your unique microbiome according to the seasonal fluctuations of your microbes:


  • You have tried lots of "healthy" diets and they have worked for a little while, and then the benefits seemed to fade

    Maybe you tried going Gluten Free, or committed to Paleo or even Keto...and you found that you lost weight or felt better for a while...and then it just "stopped working" or you started to feel worse than before.  

     

    I believe that all these diets can be beneficial, if they are applied at the correct time of year and according to your unique microbes.

     

    Our microbes are actually the part of our body that "needs to be fed."  Meaning that the microbes break down the food and convert it into nutrients to be absorbed.

    It has become clear that over 90% of our immune system is in our gut, and more research is surfacing that it is the microbes that regulate systemic inflammation by producing short chain fatty acids, such as butyrate. 

     

    These SCFAs are the end product of what our microbes eat in our intestines, which means that if we are starving them, they can not regulate our inflammation or immune system.

    I will explain how starving your microbes leads to "leaky gut", autoimmunity and hyper-immune response.

    Whether you have occasional heartburn, irregular bowel movements, or find yourself with constant bloating and gas, the microbes in you digestive tract are telling you that something is wrong.
